Bohemia Interactive veröffentlichte dieser Tage nun ihr neuestes Update für Arma 3. Hinter dem Namen “Warlords” verbirgt sich ein neuer Mehrspieler-Modus, in dem Spieler in einer Großoffensive eine komplette Insel besetzen und sich zur feindlichen Basis vorkämpfen müssen. Hinzu kommen zahlreiche Verbesserungen am Spiel sowie neue Waffen und Spielcharaktere.
In “Warlords” hat der Spieler die Wahl zwischen den beiden Fraktionen NATO und CSAT, die um die totale Vorherrschaft auf den Inseln Altis, Stratis, Tanoa und Malden kämpfen. Mit bis zu 32 Spielern aufgeteilt auf zwei Teams, versuchen diese strategische Punkte auf der Map, die von der K.I.-gesteuerten AAF-Fraktion kontrolliert werden, einzunehmen. Ziel ist es so viele Punkte wie möglich zu erobern und sich so nach und nach zur feindlichen Basis vorzuarbeiten.
Während eines Matches verdienen Spieler sogenannte Command Points (CP). Je mehr Punkte ein Team erobert, desto mehr CPs erhält der Spieler, mit denen er dann Nachschub in Form von Fahrzeugen, Waffen, verbesserter Ausrüstung, verbündete K.I. zur Verstärkung oder aber Schnellreise-Möglichkeiten oder Sektoraufklärung anfordern kann.
Neben dem neuen Spielmodus gibt es von den Entwicklern bei Bohemia Interactive noch das ADR-97 Waffenpaket und fünf neue Charakterköpfe mit dazu, die nach fünf bekannten Arma-Entwicklern modelliert wurden.
Das Update 1.86 ist ab sofort kostenlos für alle Besitzer von Arma 3 erhältlich und wird heruntergeladen sobald ihr das nächste mal Steam startet. Sämtliche Änderungen und Verbsserungen, könnt ihr den hier eingefügten Patchnotes entnehmen. Weitere Infos zum Spiel, findet ihr unter https://arma3.com
- If the game does not progress from the initial loading screen, try deleting the cache.ch file in the Arma 3 root installation folder and then restarting the game.

- Updating a deeply moddable game and its platform is not without risks. We use various methods to communicate upcoming changes to our awesome modding community, such as via the Dev Hub. - A Legacy Build Steam branch is available for advanced users. It contains the previous significant main branch version (1.84). It can be used to compare specific changes between major releases. The access code for this branch is: Arma3Legacy184
- This update does not apply to the experimental Linux and Mac port betas at time of writing. We hope to be updating those as soon as possible.
- You can find the servers in the Steam library (switch the filter to “Tools”) – “Arma 3 Server” (based on your OS, it will download the Windows or Linux version).
